New Associate Joins SBC Legal

SBC Legal, a leading Georgian advisory firm, is happy to announce that Onise Tsulaia has joined our team as a Junior Associate, specializing in Georgian private and corporate law. Mr. Tsulaia, holding the Bachelor’s Degree at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, did Commercial Law Course at The University of Limerick, Ireland. Onise also studied Business Law at Nazareth College, New York, USA and, therefore, brings foreign experience to our firm thus adding further depth to our legal services.

Prior to joining our law office, Onise worked as a private legal advisor being in charge of drafting legal documents, giving legal advice to private clients. His experience also includes working in The Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia and The Supreme Court of Georgia being in charge of translating different legal documents, official reports and court decisions.

As an intern for Prince David Institute for Law, Onise was involved in research and translation of legal documents, prepared description of the Belgian Constitution, worked on the Georgian translation of ”Marbury vs Madison” case. Mr. Tsulaia is the author of a scientific article on ”Self-Determination as an Underlying Value of Mediation Process in Ethical Codes and Legal Scholarship: Tensions between Disputant Autonomy and Substantive Fairness” published in scientific law journal ”Alternative Dispute Resolution Year Book 2017 Special Edition” by National Center For Alternative Dispute Resolution. He successfully presented a conference paper on ‘’ Liberty of Contract as a Civil Right: A Review of Legal Scholarship on Limitations to Contractual Freedom in the United States’’ for the Junior-Senior Conference in Legal Studies, New York, USA, 2017.
