Ms. Mariam Abesadze is an Associate at SBC Legal, specializing in corporate, intellectual property, construction, contract, secured transactions, and land laws. Before joining our law office, Mariam worked in one of the legal companies, where she was responsible for carrying out legal research, drafting international contracts and legal documents, preparing legal opinions for international and transnational companies, as well as representing clients in the civil and administrative chambers of the Courts of the first instance of Georgia and before arbitral tribunals.

Mariam graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili State University with honors, and presently, she is pursuing her master’s studies in Private Law at the same university. Together with the highest academic performance, she is the author of various academic articles and papers. Among them, Mariam is the 1st-place winner with the conference paper – “The Determination of Moral Damages and Problems of Converting it to Monetary Amount in Cases of Life Destruction and Health Damages.”

Furthermore, Mariam has participated in various projects both locally and internationally. She has attended winter school on Criminal Law held by the University of Cologne. Additionally, she has completed the affiliated one-semester course on Copyright Law held by Harvard Law School in cooperation with Tbilisi State University.

Mariam has successfully passed the Georgian Bar Exam with the highest scores in the General Specialization, and currently, she is undergoing the professional adaptation course of the Georgian Bar Association. Moreover, Mariam is certified by the Training Center of Justice of Georgia and she actively provides legal trainings organized by them, as well as legal trainings in public schools of Georgia for students of secondary education.

Along with her native language, Mariam is fluent in English and Russian.
